Mullahs Claim Virtue

Articles 1-2 of United Nations Charter state “[t]he Organization is based on the principle of the sovereign equality of all its Members [;]” “[t]o develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace[.]” To guarantee the stability of international relations and the positive evolution, many rules and texts in international law govern relations between States, upon principles of equality, good neighbourliness and mutual respect.
Iran looks at these principles differently. It remembers them when it comes to its national sovereignty and we all recall the Tehran’s positions and violent reactions to many Western political stances about internal events in Iran, but completely turn a blind eye on them as far as neighbouring States are concerned.
The mullahs’ regime keeps interfering in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and finds flimsy arguments to intervene every time. Iranians even accused Bahrain’s judicial system, breaching international laws and conventions, forgetting internal human rights violations confirmed by reports of international organizations stressing the flagrant human rights situation in Iran, repression, executions and exporting extremism, terrorism and sedition wars outside its borders, HRW reported in 2016.
In 1988, Khomeini executed 30 thousand opposition members mostly from the Mujahedeen. No way can such a regime claim to defend human rights in another country for whatever reason.
The international community and organizations ignore the Iranian regime’s crimes, for reasons and considerations linked to strategic interests, but the criminal mullahs have violated way too many international laws, norms and conventions, and now they are preaching about human rights in other countries.
It is quite strange a top presidential candidate in Iran is no one else but Ebrahim Raisi, an influential decision-maker in the ‘death troika’ formed to prosecute opponents of the Iranian regime at the end of the eighties of the twentieth century.
The Mullahs executed about 120 thousands of opponents of the regime since the Khomeini’s 1979 revolution. Three thousand of them were executed during the mandate of the current ‘moderate’ President: that is an average of two daily executions.
Do you know what Iran is referred to in the records of human rights organizations? It is the Middle East’s biggest executor. That is no secret to the UN General Assembly, which condemned on more than 60 occasions Iran’s human rights record and warned more than once of human rights violations committed and ordered by the mullahs, particularly the increased use of the death penalty.
The mullahs committed more crimes against their people; however, the neighbouring States did not intervene for respect of sovereignty considerations. Now that the Iranian regime is targeting Bahrain, we must speak out loud of their crimes and expose the political lies of the two-faced mullahs.
