Deceiving the Iranian People…!

Iran’s mullahs realize before others that the majority of the Iranian people wants the resumption of relations with the United States. The slogans and the political ideology of the revolution did not leave the mouth of the Iranian people, despite the fact that attempts to make the people swallow forcibly these slogans have been made for four decades!! However, these mullahs fear that their lies and deceit will be exposed when they shake hands and ally with the “Great Satan”. They try to gradually pass the images of these handshakes to the Iranian people. Here someone may say: If the Iranian people want a rapprochement with the United States, what worries the mullahs of the publication of photographs of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Javad Zarif shaking hands with US President Barack Obama in New York?

Here I say that what worries these mullahs is not the pictures themselves. Iranians are genuinely thrilled about opening up to the United States, but the mullahs are worried about two important things: first, the exposure of their deceit and of the false nature of their slogans, which they have repeated and fought for for decades, and here I mean slogans of hostility and death to America, which they describe as “the Great Satan,”, and which they now hug when their interests met with the interests of Washington. The second thing is that the Iranian regime, which has agreed to sign the nuclear agreement recognizes that opening up to the world culturally and civilizationally may be the beginning of the end to this fragile system, which carries within itself the factors of its fall and collapse. It is a regime that does not really fit to coexist with the modern political regimes prevailing in the world, and that is based on oppression, torture, persecution and bloodshed.

There is a politically important interpretation according to which the US President Barack Obama is seeking to dismantle the rotting intellectual infrastructure of the ideological Iranian regime through luring this system to open up and deal with the world so that it degrades gradually over time. In other words, to penetrate and dismantle the foundations of this system through the sweeping cultural invasion of Western values, particularly American values, which was effective in the dismantling of the former Soviet Union and in pushing China to open up gradually and accept coexistence with Western values and do without some communist values, especially in the economic and commercial sphere.

What is new in the Iranian case is that the mullahs of Qom are aware of this danger coming, and do not stop warning of the danger of cultural invasion, but nevertheless they accepted the rapprochement with the United States out of their desire to control this rapprochement and the dialogue with the United States on the nuclear file, and this is unlikely and not realistic. What is coming is stronger than the collapse of the snowy mountains and will sweep away the absurd slogans of the mullahs about the demonization of America and other slogans they were the first to fail being true to!!

Maybe the mullahs were able to deceive the Iranian people over the past decades, but the problem remains in what is coming. There is a huge cultural gap between the millions of young Iranians from the generation of the information revolution, and the mullahs’ ideas who hide behind their obsolete ideas. On this aspect specifically is the historical American bet. In accordance with the historical mobility and the legacy of previous experiments, the rickety Iranian regime will not last long in the face of the flood of change coming from the West. Tehran will find itself in the face of a strong cultural wind that will force it to surrender to change sooner or later, and this regime will not be able to continue to deceive the Iranian people with false slogans and obsolete lies.

The problem is that Iran’s theocratic regime is not trying to think about addressing its crisis, but contents itself by managing and recycling that crisis through continually lying and falsifying reality. As an example, Friday sermon preacher of Tehran Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Kermani told worshipers that “shaking hands with US President Barack Obama whose hand is bloodstained does not mean that our relationship is good with America”. Whom does he want to fool? If the hand of US President is bloodstained as Kermani says, then who forced Iran’s mullahs to shake hands with him? Politics is known as “the art of the possible,” but it certainly is not absolutely the art of lying, especially in the era of “WikiLeaks”, in which an individual or a nation’s deeds cannot remain secret for long periods. But it seems that the Iranian regime knows that it is lying and also knows that no one believes its lies but keeps in the hope that someone may believe it. The only alternative to these lies is for it to admit the falsity of its slogans and recognize the fact of its Persian national political project, which disappeared for decades behind faded religious slogans!!!

Friday sermon preacher of Tehran Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahedi Kermani: “shaking hands with US President Barack Obama whose hand is bloodstained does not mean that our relationship is good with America”……….. Say something else, Sheikh, may God guide you to the right path!!?
