Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak: “The Champion of Family”

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, has been awarded as the “Champion of Family”

Her Highness had worked side by side with the founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan since the foundation of the Union State on December 2, 1971. Her Highness Sheikha Fatima made enormous efforts in women empowerment and has long been backed up by His Highness, who believed in the need to empower women and in using their potentials in sustainable development.

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima is a leading model in women’s voluntary work, not only by her current achievements but also because she has brought a flourishing success for the Emirati women and family. Her Highness has led the process of women’s renaissance.

Her enormous ability to develop the Emirati women and society reflects a deep understanding of Man’s role in life. Obviously, after her successful local efforts in development, Her Highness moved to spread her humanitarian message globally by her admirable incentive initiatives.

Her Highness did not stop her humanitarian work after the death of the Founding Leader. She carried on their walk of providing “White Hands” and improving the lives of needy people everywhere, with no distinction between color or race.

Sheikha Fatima has long been aware that family is the first pillar of the political work. She believed that without educated women and children’s access to nutrition, care and education, all the plans of the State will have no future. Her Highness started the march of the General Women’s Union carrying a system of combined local and Islamic values. Sheikha Fatima directed all efforts towards building the family model with all its pillars. “Women are an important human capital in society. They have extraordinary abilities and skills. They make an effective contribution to sustainable development. Women have the personality traits that enable them to be a major partner in politics, economy and society,” Her Highness said.

Her Highness stresses that “the impressive success was not fortuitous but proceeded by many factors, notably the encouragement of women’s leadership in the State. Women were given the opportunity to prove themselves. Emirati women use their potentials and energies to have a better future for their families and homeland.”

Honoring Her Highness Sheikha Fatima by the highest international institution of family is a clear international recognition of her hallmarks. The President of the World Family Organization of the UN said there is no one better than Her Highness to be awarded as the “Champion of Women”. There is a global approval of the impact of Her Highness’ efforts and fingerprints on family and society.

Her Highness Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the UAE, has proven to be the “Champion of Family”. She has a positive impact on the development of women in the Emirates, the Gulf and the entire world. There is a need to be inspired by her lessons, career, and spirit of giving and hard work.
