The UAE has become a capital of the global dialogue about human and moral values, an issue that topped the world’s priorities recently.
About a week after the World Summit for Tolerance held in Dubai under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, this week in Abu Dhabi, the first session of the Interfaith Alliance For Safer Communities: Child Dignity in the Digital World Forum was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The World Summit for Tolerance was marked by new intellectual, humanitarian and civilizational initiatives and ideas. A global initiative for tolerance was launched that includes honoring the symbols of global tolerance in the fields of human thought, literary creativity and aesthetic arts and establishing the Mohammed bin Rashid Tolerance Award to support intellectual, cultural and media young Arab leaders.
The International Institute for Tolerance, the first Institute of tolerance in the Arab world, has been established to provide advice and expertise and publish studies and reports on tolerance and work with the related cultural institutions in the Arab world to spread the principles of tolerance among the new generations.
The UAE caught the attention of the world as a model of tolerance. The UAE’s efforts to promote tolerance are as important as the security and military efforts to combat violent extremism and terrorism. Our Arab region needs an intellectual reconstruction that will save millions of young people, children and future generations from the ideology that establishes extremism, fanaticism and hatred.
In parallel with these major efforts, the first session of the alliance of religions came to tackle the countless risks children face in the digital world, starting with the crimes of extortion and sexual exploitation, intolerance and bullying in the social media.
These events confirm that the UAE has become the hub of international human values.
Hosting global dialogue also confirms that the UAE plays a vital role in interreligious dialogue and the promotion of world peace by spreading a culture of moderation, tolerance and coexistence, and protecting vulnerable groups in fragile communities.
The UAE, under the leadership of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has become a destination for world leaders and experts from economic, intellectual, social, energy and other fields, said HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
From the ADIPEC Conference recently held in Abu Dhabi to the global dialogue on tolerance and building an interfaith alliance, to child protection, the UAE blends economy, finance, business, culture and values.
All these events promote the UAE’s soft power, confirming that it will be an active player in the 21st century not only in the field of technological development, AI and other applications of the fourth Industrial Revolution, but also in terms of human values that safeguard security and peace in communities throughout the world.
