Analysing the Statements of the Adventurer General

This article was a reaction to the statements of Gen. Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force in the RGCC. “You will start this war but we will be the ones to impose its end,” he said addressing the US president, Trump.
Soleimani’s statement were striking. It talked about Iran’s ability to end the war. This talk carries implicit messages. He must then possess a nuclear weapon or other advanced weapons, especially while dealing with a superpower dominating the world order.
Soleimani said that”the Red Sea, which was secure is no longer secure with the American presence”. He added that the US turned it into an unsafe sea.He continued that Riyadh was a safe city and now missiles fall on it. It is striking how Soleimani links Iran to the security of the Red sea. The statements came in a timing when the Iran-backed Houthi militias subjected a Saudi tanker to a military threat. Soleimani sent a message to the US through this statement.
The relationship is clear between the Houthi move and Soleimani’s statements. The remarks confirmed suspicions that the Houthi group received instructions from the mullahs to carry out this criminal operation. This was as a naive message.
“As a soldier, it is my duty to respond to your threats… If you want to use the language of threat… talk to me, not to the president (Hassan Rouhani). It is not in our president’s dignity to respond to you,” said Soleimani. This is another strange thing. He undermined the position of the president. He deprived Rouhani from security and military talk, which normally belongs to the State. The people normally elect a president to take major decisions in various fields, including security and military. A general must not withdraw this duty from the president. However, Soleimani did so and started dealing with the president of the US.
The hierarchy of power is unknown in Iran. However, the supreme leader makes final decisions. Otherwise, things become intertwined between political, military, religious, sectarian, reformist, conservative and extremist.
Soleimani believes that he is capable of confronting the strongest army in the world with Iran’s arrogant militias. “I am your foe, and my Quds Force is your foe. There isn’t a night where we do not think about you in our sleep,” he said.
This statement is reckless. He went on saying: “I tell you, Mr. Trump, the gambler, I tell you that at this moment when you are incapable of thinking, we are closer to you in a place you never even imagined.” These are absurd statements. Famous adventurers have never made such statements. But General Soleimani is a unique adventurer. He believes that US forces will descend on the ground to fight against the sectarian militias in an unconventional battle.
How adventurous Soleimani is! He did not recall the lessons of the Iraq war in 2003. The mullahs’ regime was seeking that the US will not direct its attacks towards Iran.
There, Tehran provided the US with all the necessary cooperation and facilities in Afghanistan and Iraq to prevent its anger. Soleimani should have recalled the events that took place 15 years ago and abstain from making such statements.
The region, and indeed the entire world, will not know security and stability in the existence of such reckless control of power. Any talk about security, stability and settlement with such mentalities seems to be dangerous.
