A Year Marked by “Daesh” … What about Next Year? 2015

With any account inventory for 2015, which is about to fold its days and leave, we find that only difficulties and dangers and threats have filled the hours of this year and its days, which were difficult for citizens of several Arab countries starting from Syria in the north and ending in Yemen in the south, passing through Libya, Iraq and the occupied Palestinian territories and other miscellaneous parts of the Arab world.

Difficult days were not only for citizens of countries experiencing conflicts that dispersed them, they are also for citizens of other Arab countries who spend their days in the field to defend the truth and safeguard the interests of brotherly Arab peoples, and here I mean the Arab coalition brave soldiers, who are fighting the forces of oppression and aggression in the Yemeni arena.

2015 had been difficult by all strategic standards, and saw many tensions and crises and conflicts, and did not witness, unfortunately, the closing of any of the hot files or the end of any of the bloody conflicts, and insisted on delivering all these files with all their bitterness to 2016, which we all hope would witness a diminishing of tensions and a receding of the waves of terrorism, murder and bloodshed.

2015 was a difficult year not only to the Arab world, but it was also difficult for many countries of the world as a result of blind terrorism, which brutally stroke unarmed citizens without any distinction between religion, sex, color and race.

Some explain what is going on in the Arab world in light of the consequences of the so-called “Arab Spring”, but I think that this false “spring” is only one of the successive waves of the storm of “creative chaos” that swept the region much earlier than 2011. We may remember very well that the “tools” of this “spring” have prepared it well for long years before it began, and among these tools are what is known as academies of change and youth training programs aiming at overthrowing the ruling regimes, as these academies chain was founded in 2006 in the British capital, and branches opened in Doha and Vienna in subsequent years.

Several countries and regions in the Arab world are still suffering from the consequences of this creative chaos. Countries like Libya, Yemen, Iraq and Syria are still absent from the area of the defense of their national sovereignty, not to mention the area of political action and influence in which all states are supposed to be present, after some of them saw foreign interventions that were not limited to major and regional states but extended to include terrorist organizations, which lay in the gray areas that suffer from chaos and from the lack of influence of the state and its sovereignty.

The good news in 2015 is that the efforts made by several Arab states, led by Saudi Arabia, with an active participation of other Arab countries in the forefront of which is the United Arab Emirates, have been successful in addressing the rest of the plot that aimed at devouring entire Arab states, and controlling a new Arab capital by Iran’s mullahs aspiring to fully take advantage of the favorable historic opportunity after they succeeded in penetrating ancient Arab capitals such as Baghdad, Damascus and openly boasted their occupation. But Arab nationalism woke up last March in order to save what is left of the dignity of the Arabs and their capitals from the expansionist Persian tide, and to save Arabism and authenticity in Sanaa from the aggression that wears a deceptive sectarian mask, claiming the defense of the oppressed, although Persia includes millions of the victims of injustice and slavery, oppression and tyranny, starting from the residents of the Arab Ahwaz province, and not ending with the other nationalities that are trying to escape from the grip of state tyranny and religious dictatorship in Iran .

The bad news at the end of 2015 is that the organization “Daesh” is still alive and facing the military campaign being waged against it by almost all the countries in the world, after the official participation of both Russia and Iran in military strikes on the organization inside Syrian territory, and odder still, is that the organization, facing the advanced military machines of all these military forces with their various operational and tactical capabilities, still claims its ability to work and expand, which raises more legitimate questions about the hidden secrets of this organization which allow it to just stay alive !!

It is then a year marked by “Daesh” par excellence, after the spread by this pernicious organization of the scourge of terrorism in various regions of the world and after its name became uttered by all leaders, and became the focus of international and regional alliances and moves either at the military or the political level. So will this scene continue next year or will international and regional efforts succeed at trapping this malignant disease and eradicating it? My personal conviction is that this organization is “intended” to continue for a few years to come at the lowest estimate, for the simple reason that its role within the game of influence and roles sharing on the international stage is still going on and has not been resolved, and those that hold the threads of this organization still need it on the theatre of the conflict in Iraq and Syria and possibly other parts of the Arab world.

“Daesh” is the third generation of terrorist organizations after the first generation that has emerged in several countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Algeria and others, and the second generation, which was embodied in the “Al Qaeda”, and we should be wary of the potential of “synthesizing” a fourth generation of terrorist organizations in the Western intelligence labs and then implanting it in the Arab and Muslim body, which is completely ready to receive such “viruses” and epidemics due to the weakness of the effectiveness of efforts at the level of the immunization of this body against extremist ideology and terrorism. Despite the declared plans and strategies that are mostly directed at addressing this threat, the hard work was limited to the security and military areas without being matched by serious efforts at the intellectual, cultural, religious and media levels, where noise, conflict and going around in circles remained the motto of these areas, which fill the world with much ado for nothing!!.

Best wishes for the Arab and the Muslim world and the whole of humanity, and may they enjoy security and stability, in the hope that next year will be free of the scourges of last year, calling on God to grant us all our good wishes.
