Martyr’s Day … for Loyalty and Belonging

The poet said:
The homeland of a man is a mother, and if someday he becomes disloyal to his homeland, he also becomes so to his mother.
The status of the homeland is very precious to proud souls. It is similar to the status of a caring mother, because the beloved homeland held that baby from a young age and he lived in its bosom. A free citizen is faithful to his homeland and his able leadership and seeks dignity and defends his honor and the honor of others and all those who sought refuge in him.
And history has shown that the righteous son of the UAE spares no effort even if it costs him his life for the defense of his homeland, truth and the oppressed. The honorable soldiers wrote a glorious history of pride and heroism and dignity with their own blood, stressing the meaning of loyalty to the homeland of the United Arab Emirates. Their pure and loyal blood irrigated the land of Arabism in brotherly Yemen, in an act of courage to defend truth, and to lift injustice from the oppressed.
The martyrs of the right and duty among our heroes, the virtuous soldiers of the UAE state, gloriously recorded in the pages of pride, lines of loyalty to the homeland and the nation and proved through their pure blood and the sacrifice of their lives they have been true to their pledge to God. And in recognition by the nation and the wise leadership for these honorable soldiers, the thirtieth of November has become the “Martyr’s day”, a day to acknowledge the Emirates’ heroes who have given their lives for the right and the duty and for the elevation of their country in the fields of honor and splendor to save the people of a brotherly State from the clutches of oppression and tyranny after it called for help. So they stood up for the right and legitimacy so that brotherly Yemen and its people recover stability and safety.
“The Martyr’s Day”, ordered by the wise leadership represented by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, is proof and a symbol to honor the martyrs of the homeland, and an occasion to plant the meaning of giving to the homeland in the hearts of the new generations as well as to express the people’s pride in the good children of the homeland.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, may God protect him, gave his high directives to inaugurate a memorial of the martyrs in the city of Abu Dhabi to be a witness, a symbol and a landmark for everyone, reminding them of the courage, heroism and the sacrifices of our loyal soldiers.
Congratulations to our dear homeland for its virtuous soldiers, our dear heroes, and congratulations to our martyrs for their martyrdom, and congratulations for each martyr’s family that carried the crown of pride and glory and gave birth to the heroes of the homeland.
