It has been now 46 years since the United Arab Emirates was established. Up until today, a lot has been achieved that when you search "first Arab country" on the internet you will find the UAE name on top according to many indicators. The first Arab in the index of e-government, competitiveness, human capital index, best countries to live and work in, foreign investment, development of human capital, the Global Innovation Index, happiness index and even digitalized passports.

The list goes on and on. The UAE is ranked first in the Arab world and in advanced ranks internationally. The present is the base of the future for the Emirates, the base is strong.

The most remarkable thing about the UAE's unique development experience over the past years is certainly its focus on the human being as a primary objective. Human development has always been a priority since the era of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, up to the time of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Hence, investments have been directed towards the development of human resources and providing them with the knowledge, expertise and skills required in the development process as well as traditional national values like tolerance, coexistence, acceptance of the other. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai said that the country, under the leadership of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, is about achieving happiness and providing prosperity, security and a decent life for the people. His Highness said that directing financial resources to achieve the highest levels of prosperity and well-being for citizens and residents in the UAE is a priority, stressing that education, health and social welfare are a fundamental pillar of community development.

The achievements of our country are not limited to economic, business, industrial and agricultural development. The strategic vision of our leadership has enabled these investments to enhance the strategic weight of the UAE in various international and regional circles. We have visits of leaders and presidents from around the world to attend international events and activities hosted by the UAE throughout the year.

The UAE has also become a center of gravity in maintaining regional stability and in defending the Arab national security. HH Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the armed forces made a golden rule in dealing with issues in the region that "Arab national security is indivisible," in a clear and strong promise that the UAE will defend the Arab countries' interests that have been under a serious threat since 2011.

The UAE remains faithful to the principles and values of the Arab identity.

We celebrate a glorious day in which we remember with pride the founding fathers and their efforts that made the United Arab Emirates one of the most advanced and developed countries in the twenty-first century.
